Who we are

Feed Wizards Tracking is a Shopify app operated by Your Store Wizards (yourstorewizards.com). It reports a store's Google Ads conversion and remarketing events using the product identifiers the merchant chooses, so that ad tracking matches the store's Merchant Center product feed.

Information we collect from merchants

When a store installs the app, we store:

• The store's myshopify.com domain and install/uninstall dates.
• Shopify API credentials for the store, encrypted at rest. The app requests only the write_pixels and read_customer_events permissions.
• The tracking configuration the merchant enters: Google Ads conversion ID and label, an optional Google Analytics 4 measurement ID, the chosen product ID strategy, and related settings. This configuration is also published to the store as app-owned data so the storefront tracking can read it.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect or store any personal information about a store's customers — no names, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, or payment details. Tracking events travel directly from the shopper's browser to Google and are never sent to or stored on our servers.

What the app does on the storefront

Once the merchant enables tracking, the app reports shopping activity to Google on the merchant's behalf: product views, collection and search views, add-to-cart events, and purchases. These reports include product identifiers, quantities, prices, order totals, order number, currency, and — when a shopper arrived from a Google ad — Google's click identifier (gclid), read from the cookie Google's own tag sets. If the merchant configures a GA4 measurement ID, browsing events are also sent to Google Analytics 4. Tracking honors the store's Shopify cookie-consent settings: where a shopper has not consented, events are not sent.

Cookies

The app does not set cookies of its own. Google's tag writes its standard conversion-measurement cookies (the _gcl_* family) in accordance with Google's policies. Merchants are responsible for disclosing the use of Google Ads tracking in their own store's privacy policy and consent banner.

Sharing

Event data is shared with Google (Google Ads and, if configured, Google Analytics) as the whole purpose of the app. Configuration data is stored with Shopify as part of the store. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with anyone else.

Retention and deletion

Uninstalling the app immediately invalidates its access to the store, and our stored credentials for the store are cleared. When Shopify sends the shop/redact notice after uninstall, the remaining store record is anonymized. Because we hold no customer personal data, Shopify's customers/data_request and customers/redact notices are acknowledged with nothing to return or erase.

Security

API credentials are encrypted at rest, all traffic uses HTTPS, and access to our systems is limited to Your Store Wizards staff who operate the service.
